I will be entering my first female bodybuilding show in July. I am in the process of ordering my posing suit but not sure if I should order just one for the pre-judging and night show or one suit for each? Appreciate any tips/advice...
Hey, good luck in July, you'll have a blast! Personally I have used two suits, one for pre and one for the night show. I like my pre-judging suit to be very plain and simple, no loud colors, just dark blue or black. This is the most important time when the judges critique you so you don't want your suit to take away from your body. For the night show that is to your music I have a little more fun and pick a fabric with a little more flare...some sparkle but still not to much to take away from my body. I have seen floresent yellow on a girl with great definition but the yellow was soooooo distracting all you saw was yelloooooooooow!!
I've also gone with 2 suits. Medium blue for prejudging, and something brighter (red was my choice) for the evening. GOOD LUCK and I hope you have lots of FUN !!!
i'll echo shredbetty, don't do yellow. i also prefer black or blue for prejuding and a nicer suit for evening. i personally stay away from light colors as your pro-tan might rub off on your suit.
SunShine, Besides having the two suits in different colors, another good reason for having two suits with you...is just in case something snags or tears on your first choice. I truly believe in "Murphy's Law," but if you go prepared, "Murphy" can't hurt you. Goood Luck.
