Hey guys I did my first NPC show a few weeks ago and I just got my card in the mail and it expires in December already.

Does that mean if I want to do a NPC show in 2010 I have to pay the 80$ all over again?

The NPC cards are valid for one calendar year - Jan-Dec. Even if you purchase your 2009 card in October, you need a new one for 2010 in January.

Well I dont understand that at all, I thought I would be a life time member and there would be like a small fee to renew it.

Talk about a scam...

Wow, $80 now?
Welcome to the wonderful world of bodybuilding sanctioning bodies.

A scam...no way!
You get a cool card with your name on it, a quarterly magazine (maybe) and ...waitaminute...I guess it always did have sort of a "one way street" feel to it.

They all do it....

Hahaha! Classic.

In all actuality.... yes, you are basically paying for the items mentioned above but mostly you are paying for liability insurance which covers contestants going to, and from, any NPC bodybuilding and fitness event.

It sucks but I guess they gotta cover their own butts
