I am very carb sensitive. My second show is June 7, about 3.75 weeks out as of today.
For the final week this is my plan: Normal Bev Carb up meal 7 days before the show. Sun,Mon,Tues,Wed - no carbs except asparagas and spinach. Thurs/Fri - only meat/grapefruit. Sat Morning - begin adding carbs, 20 minutes before showtime - goo or simple carbs.
Can I do this? My concern of adding carbs thurs or fri is that I will be a little bloated on Sat, irrespective of water and sodium. If I eat any carbs I get very vascular, then the next 8 hours I am puffy.
My weight now is 157, I am 5.9..

I've never been impressed with carb depletion/carb loading for me. Feeling puffy may not be from being carb sensitive, but an imbalance of electrolytes/fluids, etc. Body builders tend to think low sodium and can have a very difficult time with sodium as a result of going too far with sodium restriction.

Look into your sodium intake compared with other minerals. I've been using sea salt for some time and Jason has shown were using white potatoes with sea salt can be a plus.

Personally, I was better off using sweet potatoes during my final two weeks. I remained vascular as can be so that it seemed to "hurt". I added more fish, too.

As for your carb depletion, I'm skeptical of that method. I'd like to see Aram's point as I already know Jason's.

Jason's final week is in detail under contests. I believe his method may be something you should consider at a later date as I think it is too late to switch this close.

You should be able to feel full, muscles pumped up 15 to 20 minutes.

Remember to pump up, not over do it so that you'll lose details in striations.

I doubt you are truly carb sensitive, the last person I worked with thought that too until they tried my protocol.

On your plan Id look like ****, but Im not blessed with great muscle bellies, when they are flat its the difference between 5th and first, seriously...

Anyways...like Frank said my peak week is detailed in the contest section.....I could still work with you, its only sunday and the show is in 3 weeks right???? Thatd be plenty of time.

In any event, you CANNOT saturate the muscle in a few hours, if you try to take in too many cars to do so, thats when you spill.

My load is taken over 18 hrs, and SMALL amounts each meal that the body can continue to process, the problem lies where guys try to take in 100+ 3-5 x per day, cant do that, to much at one sitting...

anyways.....

No I wouldnt do what you propose, but....thats my opinion

Do you have a contest this weekend and the second, June 7th?

My mistake if there's not one this weekend and that's why I said it may be too late to switch this close.

Thanks for the advice guys.

My show is June 7th. I have been following the Beverly 3C diet. I was 156.25, barerly a LW and right at 6% bf. I would like to come in at 152.153 at least 5%, preferably 4.5% bf. this time.

My theory on carb sensitivity is from this. The last two weeks before the show I didn't eat any carbs till show day. Show day is the lightest and the best I had ever been in my life. I was also following the 3C diet. But, not as strict as I should, I did eat little things I shouldn't have.
My fear is that if I eat carbs, since I cut them out for two weeks before the show is that I won't drop any more fat.
I am doing cardio for 40 minutes 6x a week, with 20 minutes HITT/20 minutes low intensity. I am using U40, Density and MP. I just finished 3 weeks of lean out and will start it again next week.
I am following the weight workout in the contest guide.

that doesnt confirm carb sensitivity at all. But, I can tell you are carb phobic in that you think fat loss comes to a halt becuase they are consumed.

Post pics of your last show....Ill let you know if you were sucked out, I suspect so since you went low carb diet with a low carb peak week, how could you be full and dry doing that?
