Hey there....good morning ! I would say if it was only one day that the scales bumped up and you felt sluggish it is probably NOT a slump. I know when I WAS ;-0 weighing myself daily I would see a one pound swing from one day to the next (normal water fluctuation, hormons, the bodies biorhythms.) I think one/two day drops in calories are not counter productive but many many days of it...like (you know) I had the tendency to do!!
I did the higher calorie day with the cardio and that seemed to get me out of the slump. Leslie |

Brochas - You may have to give us more information to get helpful feedback. You can cut calories too low, and if you do the double cardio will only compound the problem.
Are you on track with fat loss? Do you have to worry about coming in at a certain weight? How have your calorie drops been implemented up to this point? Too few calories and too much cardio should not result in weight gain but it might put a halt to fat loss and could cause you to use muscle for energy instead of burning fat. As LT mentioned - I also fluctuated a pound or even two pounds up and down over the course of each week. The trend from week to week was what I wanted, but on any given day you might be up or down from the day before. The mirror is your best guide. VA MadDog |
