hey guys,
I was just wondering about everyones final week potassium use. How do you take it and how much? Seeing potassium regulates heart function im always a little cautious of it.

Depending on your weight and gender, Potassium is typically loaded in a pyramid scheme. When I loaded potassium i started on wednesday with one every other hour (99mg). Then Thursday every hour, friday 2 every hour, saturday 2 every hour, sunday 1 every hour, and finally monday 1 every other hour. You raise your potassium so your sodium/potassium pump depletes the sodium levels in your body.
You also have to cut down on your sodium as well. Cutting out condiments first....

This past contest prep i did not load potassium. I did sodium deplete though. I was able to keep a good pump throughout the show. Like many things with your contest prep, some things work really well for some and not others... You're going to have to test the waters with your own body type.

I load white potato every other meal on Weds for my carb load. Check the specs on white potato its WAY more potassium than you could ever take via a pill and its a natural source from food, doesnt bother your balances...

check out the pics in the link below where I am outside with no tan, that was the morning after loading 930 grams carbs, 450 which came from white potato......my muscles were so full from the potassium sodium pump that I got a pump brushing my hair that morning..
