Man am I struggling.

Im 48+ and been competing for a long time and am finding out the late forties, are a lot different, and more difficult than the early forties, as far as competing. As hard as I try, it still gets more difficult every time to get that level of conditioning I used to have. I allmost thought about taking 2 years off and competing in the over fifties, and kicking butt.. but who am I kidding, I would probably never be able to if I let up now. I'm competing in a month in an NPC show thats Masters class starts at 35+. Last year I did it and these 35 year olds were Diesal, I ended up in 4th. But I'll keep at it. I was just wondering if anyone else was feeling my pain? HA HA...

Bob, I feel your pain but let me say that it IS a bit harder but not impossible. I don't always like to compete against 40 year olds either but they still get their butts kicked.
:-) . Just be your best and take what you get. It's all for fun (for ME anyway). I'm competing in 2 days and I plan on hurting some (younger) feelings. BTW, I'm 49 and 3 months shy of 50. I can hardly wait for 50 so I can STILL shine. To God be the Glory! Peace.
