im 11 weeks out right now and just finished some posing. the good news is that my upper body looks great! but my legs are another story. genetics have given me really thick legs. the muscle is deffinately there but very much covered by a stubborn layer of fat. i guess this isnt really a question, more like a plea for some kind of reassurance that this has happened to other people, and that come show time i look forward to displayin the wheels i threw up soooo many times to get Razz
thanks

Bendel,

Yes your legs will come down as far as the calipers are concerned, the diet will do that.

However, like anything there are tons of factors and I cant see your legs right now.

Are you male or female. This is probably factor numero uno. Ask the ladies about this one.

The main three things in my opinion are sprinting, stretching and posing at this point. Hopefully as youve said youve done the grunt work to get some meat there. Now fine tune it. Just dont overdo the sprints at first, start at 50% and build up and stretch before, during and after. Then work on some posing. Follow the diet and the separation will come.

Good luck to ya!

Bendel- I'm female and have a figure competition Saturday(tomorrow) . I started the beef/grapefruit diet yesterday (Thur) and will continue it today and Saturday. I woke up 30 minutes ago and am amazed at how my legs (and glutes) have leaned up in the last couple of days. I hope this is encouraging for you since quads and glutes are usually the "problem areas" for women and I've had such positive results. I advise you to relax, stick with the plan and not panic! Good Luck to you !

I also have a question on this topic, I have the same problem as 1fitchic, however I am about 16 weeks out of a competition and have some cellulite on the back of my legs, it is beginning to "disappear," but I was wondering if I should be concerned with possibly applying a topical cream?

I am skeptical of the fat loss topical creams.

That being said it cant hurt you can it?

Do some research on them. I know the ones with yohimbine or yohimbe and some other ingredients are supposed to be the ones that work.

What Ive done in the past in the final weeks is use Thiomucase in the tanning bed, just in an attempt to shrink any remaining fat cells. This method is very temporary and one would have to continue up to near the show to get the effects.

Honestly, try one if you want, but with 4 mos to go if your diet is on and you do your homework Id think you wouldnt need them.

Sorry I couldn't recommend one of the newer ones, my supplement choices are pretty simple and tried and true.

I also agree JTHEO. Topical creams are mostly herbal Prep H. They simple remove water for a temporary time period. The yohimbe cream does work but it has to be done correctly to work. Also, yohimbe HCL cream has to be a certain percentage for it to work. Do some searches on the net for the information. You will probably find most of your information on controversal steriod related sites sense they are a little more experimental and not selling anything. Pup
