I know everyone preps and responds differently to each stimulus. I'm wondering how others approach their cardio leading into a show. Do you gradually increase the amount of time/session, the number of total sessions, the type of cardio done, calories burned, etc?? I've tended to approach my cardio from a 'how I look' basis - but usually panic and go all out towards the end and sacrifice size. Please share how others approach their cardio regimine leading into a contest. Thanks !!!!

I always have a plan of how much I will start with, what type (HITT, moderate or levels) and number of days. I then add every other week, on opposit weeks that I do a calorie cut and only if my fat loss slows down. This year I started with 20 min 3Xweek with 2 HITT and 1 at 80% and built up to 6Xweek for 20 HITT and 4 more pm sessions of 20 min at 80%. I do not like to go over 20 min and will add sessions or days before I go over 20. Sully |

Thanks Sean.. I want to have a 'method to my madness' - otherwise, I feel like I'm just doing it without a plan or scheme. Also, my shows are spread out across a 1 month period..so, this is giving me some concern too. I may hit you up again for some tweaking advice. Thanks again..V
