Ok last time i competed i used goo, it was good but i think my timing was off. By what i have seen on the boards here you start eating it every 30 minutes before prejuding. Also should you eat a carb meal saturday morning before the goo as well?

what do you mean your timing was off?
If you mean you didnt get a pump; you cant rely on that goo concoction and think that will be enough to get a pump. Full and dry on stage is earned during dieting, but also the final peak week where you properly manipulate carbs, water and sodium from Weds through Sat morning. Remember after months of training leading into that final week you are pretty depleted and its a fact that it takes 48-72 hours to fully replete the cells, you cant eat some pancakes saturday and throw down some goo and miraculously feel full and dry on stage. Ive made that mistake though. Thats why you look so **** good almost 48 hours after taking the stage. Thats why this year I started to replete my cells starting Weds, then tapered the carbs towards fri/sat as I tapered water down.....add sodium back in sat morning from pancakes and then from a snickers at pump up with some water during pump up. |
