Mornin' to everyone; I was just wondering what everyone does there last week b4 contest? Eating the same, cut back anything! Drink Wine the night b4 the contest (I got that much alread) My dad makes home made wine so I WILL have a bottle in my room the night before. I have a contest on the 20th next weekend? Any feedback?

Melissa, I hate to be the one to break this to you but there are many, many things to factor in the last week. There is an issue with water, sodium, potassium, carbs, training, to name a few. I'm assuming your working with somebody at Beverly, if not try to contact an advisor and have them give you a rundown on the last week.In my opinion, and I've done 14 shows,I think it can make a huge difference in your physique if you get the timing right. Don't get discouraged if you don't get it right the first time, I've been competing for 10 years and I'm still learning. If by chance you can't get any help repost and I'll help you some more. Melissa: As Bob stated, this is a critical part of your contest prep - the final "peak week" can/will make or break your total condition for the contest. You should get the final week contest protocol from your Bev advisor and start going on it as of Sunday - water manipulation, sodium/potassium, and the exact diet for the week. You need to have a carb up meal prior to the show and also know 'when' to have it. For some the carb up meal works best on Wednesday if they process carbs slowly - others can wait and have it Thursday or Friday night.. and some even wait till Saturday a.m. if they process fast and are lean enough. Also, it's a learning experience and most don't get it 100% correct their first show but are still successful. I continue to learn with every show also. Get with someone - you need to know this information NOW! Or .. post again.. and we'll try to help you through it.. V

Thanks Bob Nd Brochas; I did get my final week emailed to me from Bev so I know what you are talking about withthe Potassium/Sodium and things! Thanks alot for caring guyz! Im getting so darn nervous on this end! One more week for my first show, I pray to God I do Well!

Melissa: Hang in there.. the first show is always a bit hectic and you'll learn a lot. Take notice of how your body responds to the final week prep so you can correct or adjust things for future shows. Keep us posted - and ask any ??? you may have.. there is a lot to learn! Best of luck!!
