J-

Looking good at this stage...you definitly look to have added size. You have plenty of time to be extremely shredded! Will be anxious to see the changes in 2 weeks.

thanks Ript, this morning I wasnt down to a new low, but the fat is loser, especially in the kidney area its MUCH easier to pinch so I know its breaking down, so I dont care about scale weight right now, Im leaning out and thats all I care about.

mecca--thanks!

Supps offseason are pretty basic which is what got me to this point, I just eat a lot of good food with plenty of low glycemic carbs, good protein sources etc.

Offseason supps:
UMP
creatine mono
glutamine
slin trol
Multi vitamin

Ill rotate in Synergy when Im pushing to gain along with some Density during training sessions.

At this point, all the above, plus keto for one month, plus synergy and L Carnitine when I remember. Also fish oil caps, 1 per meal.

Training looked like this.

back width: Pull ups, 50 as many sets as it took, pull down, stiff arm pull downs, dumbell pullovers or a hammer machine.
quad: extensions with toes in, sissy squats supersetted in, one legged leg presses with foot middle of plank, hack squats
calves: seated 8 sets to failure

Chest: hammer decline, hammer incline, dumbell flyes, smith flat bench, low cable flye to clavicle
Shoulders: clean and press, smith press, side laterals, rear delts on pec deck
Tris: Skull crushers supersetted with one arm dumbell extension behind head

Back thickness: rack dead, bent over barbell rows, high back hammer machine, one are dumbell rows to the belt
Hamis: standing ham machine, one legged press with toes off the plank, Glute ham raises with more glute work on the abductor machine, if you sit up with your butt off the seat you can directly work the ties ins, its great.
Calves: Standing under smith machine, very heavy 5 second holds, 8 sets

Chest: Heavy dumbell flyes, smith incline, hammer flat bench, one arm crossovers like you are punching down at a midget at your side, lol, from a higher placed pulley.
Shoulders: heavy upright rows in smith superset with 10 lbs laterals, heavy shrugs on hammer deadlift machine, front raises.
Bis: preacher curls heavy followed by rope hammer curls.

Havent started abs yet due to surgery, once swelling is completely gone, which its still not, then I will throw in some light ab work and work my way up on that.

Hope this helps...

If I view my physique as a whole I think the fat is coming off quite nicely. I must be recomping some because the scale just hasnt moved a ton, Im down about 3 lbs from the start. That was the goal, and it helps to go back and read that, usually I drop quicker, but Ive kept my calories and cheat meal in there to not drop so quick at first.

This Saturday is 16 weeks and for me that signifies, time to buckle down. Ill eliminating the non traditional bodybuilder foods, ie, the yogurt, and string cheese, I will keep the cottage cheese and blueberries for now and fiber one. Fiber one will be the next to go though.

Cardio will be 30 mins morning LISS and 30 mins PWO LISS. Depending on how I feel I may take out 25 carbs, but not 50 to begin.

I can tell the fat is loosening up, its much easier to pinch around the kidney and ab, just has the squishy feeling instead of that harder feeling. So things are rolling in the right direction for sure. Just gotta keep telling myself this is a marathon not a sprint, sometimes we want it now, not later. When i say 16 weeks it seems right around the corner, but I keep telling myself late June, and that puts it more into perspective whenever I want to add more cardio or cut carbs/cals etc.

This morning sucked as I forgot my food, so I had to drive all they way back home, luckily I have work hours that I establish with no real set time, as long as I get my work done on time.

Chest/shoulders/bis tonight, 30 mins LISS as I only hit 15 mins this morning.

I also had a bottle of L Carnitine sitting around and figured Id put it in the mix until its gone. I hear it only works for about 2 weeks time anyways. So Ill rotate it in and out. Doing 1 gram prior to LISS, 1 gram before training and 1 gram at bedtime. We'll see.

I also know Im losing becuase I feel small in my work clothes again, the pants dont fit my waist and my sweaters are no longer as snug, but screw it I look bigger with my shirt off as Im leaning out, thats such a mindtrip....

Still no HIIT cardio.

Are you using U40 in your prep? Or do you think they are not needed.

Just curious what your thoughts are cause now that density is out, it seems like density is superior to Mass for contest prep also.

I am using density and U40 with meals in my prep right now I am 8 weeks out!

I think U40 is a great supplement, Im just not using it right now. I track ALL protein, which means if I go adding 30-40 grams from pills my protein portions get very tiny and I prefer to eat. I will consider the U40 as my diet gets tougher and I sub out carbs and potentially want to increase protein a tad. That increase will more than likely come from U40.

I love Density though, take it during workouts around 10-15 great stuff.

Ab: 11 (I got a 9 the other morning, but we will go with this, Ive never had this be my highest and I think its still due to the swelling from surgery, but we'll go with this)
Supra: 4.5
Chest: 2.5
bi: 2.5
tri: 7
Subscap: 9.5
Lower back: 9
quad: 9.5 (had an 8 the other morning, but it is what it is, having someone else do it makes a difference)
calf: 5.5

Weight: 160 on the dot (down 2 lbs this week)
LBM: 143.43
Fat: 16.47
%: 10.3

All Im concerned with are the lbs of fat 16.5. Id love to get to 6lbs total fat on a 9 site, that would be RIPPED. So, 10 lbs of fat in 16 weeks VERY doable. That would bring me in around 150 in theory with no LBM loss, but you know how that goes.

This morning was lowest weight to date down 2 lbs, but Sat is usually my low day as I go Thurs/Fri back to back at around 210 carbs, so I usually suck down a bit.

Tonight will be the beginning of clean refeed meal. Outback, after traininig, 7 oz filet, broccoli no butter, sweet potato no butter but with sugar and cinnamon and 1 loaf of the pumpernickle bread no butter. Ill do this until I dont consistently drop, but I think its timed well for this evening. I have chest shoulders tri and Ive got my wife now traininig with me on my schedule so forced reps and intensity will be easier and Ill have someone to keep pace during cardio which makes it go by quicker.

I always tell my clients come to me at 10-11% at 16 weeks and you'll be shredded, so Ive done that, and now its time to dial it in.

Ss

I wanted to get some pics up so the changes can be viewed every two weeks. So lets call these 17.5 weeks out pics. So these will be my base pics I wont put more up until 15 or 15.5 weeks.

I know that I just saw you this past weekend but you said that you would post every 2 weeks or so. Something for people to look at and accountability for yourself. You are a little late because I think its been about 4 weeks since first and last pic posting you did. Giving you a bit of grief. Wink

Nah this weekend will be 3 weeks from the last set, so Im a tad late. Ill take some this week or Saturday. Just wasnt feeling it yet. I never even close to happy with how I look until I near 8% and Im not there yet. Maybe around 9.5% or a tad lower. But, yeah I said I would so Ill try to get them this weekend at some point, but you know this is the busy weekend and Ill have my attentions on everyone else.
