Sick, help! 6 days out.

Any guidence please!

6 days out today. I started feeling a little worn out, dizzy and weak about 3 days ago then the next day it hit hard (Thurs). Ibuprophen works great, so much so I thought I could clean my house, plan and organize a birthday party for my daughter. BIG MISTAKE! After the guests went home yesterday, I cried. I'm wondering when I will get better.

I am carb depleting today and I was suppose to get a full body workout today thru Tuesday. What do I do?

I haven't been at the gym since Thursday or tanning. I feel all the same aches and weakness today too and am not sure if I should tax my body with a workout. What to do?

I usually get over these things fast, this is terrible. Help!

FYI, I am taking GoldenSeal, Echineacia, C's, my Ms. Power Pak and a variety of Bev supps which are mainly for muscles and not immunity. I'v been horizontal since 4pm Sat. Still in bed now. After I feel better, I will kiss my DH's toes; what a blessing he is right now.

Do I rest or train through my depletion inspite of flu???

Make sure you are taking your supps and rest.

Forget the depletion workout, most will not work hard enough or are enough into depletion to take full benefit of the depletion (125% glycogen supercompensation) anyways.

I'd also suggest that you keep water intake high. That will flush your system and set the stage for the water manipulation to work well on Friday and Saturday. Hope that you feel better soon! I agree with ETX, don't worry about the depletion workouts - if your carbs are low you will still get the majority of the desired affect from the carb manipulation. Best of luck!

Thanks for checking in with me. I have not felt ANY better all week.

I did the depletion workout Mon & Tues, only 2 full-body though. I couldn't make it through to 4 sets.

Taking lots of fluids up 'til today. I will only get 1/2 gal. The exxpectorant is finally working. I am taking 3X100mg of extra c outside of my Ms.Power pak.

Still posing and started tanning last night. All that I can do is pray, rest, take Ibuprophen and fake it 'til the show is over.

Maybe the added carbs will help somewhat. I guess I'm reaching here.

Why are you cutting back the water so soon and so much????

There is no need to make a cut like that.

The extra vit c will push more water out and if you are still fighting something off you run the risk of feeling not so great or being dehydrated (even more likely if you have a fever)

Keep the water intake higher than 1/2 gallong through to the day before the show. If going to cut cut that day, after dinner to sips. If not cutting keep drinking and stop or cut back only if you notice you are noting urinating as frequently as you had been.
