Hi All, Anybody have any tips on trying to calm down and contain yourself the last few days before a show ? Even though this is my tenth year competing it allways seems to be one of the hardest parts to keep together. You get all nervous and excited at the same time and you just want saterday to get here like right now! I can't even get any sleep. Maybe I should try meditation or something ? Can anybody relate? What do you all do? thanks...

Bob,

I can sort of relate, but not to the extent you are talking.

Id try a nice warm bath and then some kava kava. That always works for me if Ive been having difficulty sleeping.

Try taking L-Tyrocine the last few weeks before competition. It helps with a "feeling of well-being"...ie.. calming.

Hi LT, how is the diet going now that we are getting down to the wire? This is Robert from Toronto, I'm beginning to feel like I'm going to loose it with the diet, but trying real hard to keep strong and not go crazy. I got these cravings for sweet stuff which I don't eat in the offseason, but trying to tough it out. The show I heard will have about 60 competitors included myself and maybe 2 others from here in Canada but I'm looking forward to competing again i just love it. So keep strong and focused until May 1st.

I am doing fine, albeit a little worn down this week. I am ready to get this show on the road. I have my blinders on right now, and other than what is on the diet, i do not even desire to eat anything elas. The thought of being on stage in a micro bikini is daunting thought and keeps me Focused !!!! Eek

RS56, I live in Shallotte N.C. I workout at Golds in Wilmington. The show is the NPC METROLINA in Concord. Are you close? You should go if you can. I'm competing in Masters lightweight or middle.
