A friend of mine just recently competed in the NABBA championships in PA. He came back and told me that it was not drug tested. I thought NABBA shows were all tested? I am planning on doing a NABBA show, has anyone ever done one, are they all natural shows or not?

mecca,
I competed in this org many moons ago and believe their headquarters are still located in my hometown, the Bronx, NY. This used to be an international federation, but they had both tested and non-tested shows. I competed as an amateur in the tested shows, and I remember everyone was given a poly and a drug test via urinalysis. If you were caught using, I believe the ban was for 3-5 years. The non-tested shows were quite a contrast in the quality of the competitors for obvious reasons. My good buddy, NBI Pro Isaac Torres (who in my estimation is one of the top 3 drug tested competitors in the USA) competed in this org with me. I'll bet your friend entered a non-tested NABBA event. What I find strange about this org, is that they allow both tested and non-tested shows. Confused

Thanks Aram that clears things up for me. I will find out if the show I plan on doing is a NABBA natural or nontested.

Yes, they def. have both tested and non-tested. I was scheduled to do the York show coming up on May 6 which is tested but I changed plans to do the Harrisburg show on May 20. I automatically assumed this show would be tested as well, but came to find it wasn't going to be. I mentioned to the promoter that I didnt feel comfortable going up against girls who weren't tested and of course he assured me it would be the same caliber of competitors. I am really concerned about it but i don't have time to stress now. I work hard and I'm just going to go and do my best.
