Are mushrooms a good idea to add to a meal pre contest? As my carbs drop I have slowly added in more greens. I was wondering if mushrooms would be another good option to add to try to keep myself fuller longer

Mushrooms are excellent "filler" precontest. No downside.

Is it important to account for them in my macros? I dont account for greens so is this along the same lines? I obviously dont plan to go overboard but I would like to add them into one or maybe even two meals a day???

nope just planned on adding a bit of plain old shitakes to a meal or two each day to act as filler on meals that dont have greens

I WOULD ALWAYS ADD MUSHROOMS TO MY CARB MEAL AS A FILLER. I WOULD GRIND THEM UP REAL FINE IN A FOOD PROCESSOR AND ADD THEM TO MY CARB MEAL BREAD.

My favorite is to add them to my eggs and whites as part of an omlet
