Hello All,
I am in the hopes of establishing different viewpoints. For the past 8 years I have averaged 4-7 shows per year, so as you can see, I offer myself little opportunity in terms of "off season" gains. Since I am constantly dieting and preparing for shows,(or so it seems!)I view my choice not as a hinderance, rather a preferred way of existence. The process of preparing, culminating with the actual competition, has become a sacred passion. I am convinced that Beverly's diets as well as their supplements, have allowed me to compete at a high level without sacrificing any muscle or conditioning. My question therefore is, are there any other strategies I can employ to my usual arsenal of tricks to put mass on while in a virtual year-round pre-contest phase? I guess the normal response is "take a year off".I've tried this.... It lasted all of 2 months. What I am doing now is what put a lot of fat free mass on a few years ago, a high carb very low fat approach and combining 2-3 scoops of Mass Maker with 1-2 scoops 100% Egg, 3-4x per day. (thanks Mark) We all continue to inspire each other! Thanks so much, Aram |

If you can continue to grow, look better, then keep going!!! The high protein diets do work well. Cycle diets about every couple of weeks on the off season. Use a higher carb for a few weeks, then lower the carbs, add a higher fat. Always keep the protein high.
Hope it works well for you to keep the shows going! Frank |
