Final Week

All...I am currently five weeks out. I am looking to further refine the final week preparations. What things should I be doing or watching now, that will help me develop a solid final week plan? I think I did pretty good for my last show back in October, but could do better. Mostly around carbing up. I want to come in fuller.

VA - still pondering the s*** loading. Don't know if I can bring myself to go that route.

Thanks in advance !!

Dwayne

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to try the beef/grapefruit method this time - but the exact plan is still a work in progress. I'm hoping more folks who have experience with it will add their comments to that thread.

I'm beginning to think that the real key to final week success is being ready by two weeks out and then being able to stabilize things and take a more steady approach into the final week. If you are still struggling to lose bf and/or weight at two weeks out it definately makes the final week plan more difficult and stressful. Is your show on the 11th or the 18th?

VA...My show is the 11th. I did the beef/grapefruit last time with one scoop of MP, so all meals were:

6 oz lean beef, 1/2 grapefruit, 1 scoop MP

Water: 2 gals starting at 3 weeks, 1.5gal Thurs, 1 gal on Fri, sip after 6:00PM

Carbs: Normal carb meal Thurs minus the veges, 1/2 the normal carb meal Fri, none on Sat - except 6 oz sweet potato with meal between prejudging and evening show.

After looking at the pics, I need to be fuller, so I want to adjust the carbs some.

I sent the whole spreadsheet to your email...

One thing I would suggest to do differently is the water drop. I believe that you should keep it high until you cut back and not taper it down. So keep it at a 2/gal day pace until around 7 or 8 pm on Friday, then just drink small amounts in the morning on Sat, enough to get good contractions when you practice posing - something like 4-8 oz an hour.

My other email acct is temporarily off-line due to some home networking issues. Are you savvy regarding host and client PC issues for 2 direct connect PC's on a home network? One (client)is running Windows 98 the other XP-Hm (Host). I'm pulling my hair out trying to get it to work right. Has to be a settings, IP issue that I can't see. If you think you can help send me a PM. Thanks.

VA...Thanks for the water tip. Most of my networking skills are on the Windows NT/2000 environment, or UNIX. It's been a while since I messed with the other Windows....I'll shoot you a PM with some questions.
