For those who are fair-skinned: What tanning products do you use/recommend?

There is a newer product called Olympic Competition Tan that I am going to try. I have read good reports about it from people who have used it. It is a sunless tanner and bronzer so you get the initial darkening from the bronzer which is water based and will wash off and then after a few hours the sunless tanner will darken your skin and not be something that washes off, but ratherfades away more like a natural sun tan would. I'm going to try two coats but be prepared to do a third if I need to be darker. The protan and dream tan each will work, but they are messier and more time consuming to apply.

chico...I am fair skinned and I use 2 coats of ProTan and then Dream Tan on the day of the show. I personally would recommend the Dream Tan #2, regardless of your skin tone. That's what I use. I think the Dream Tan #1 looks too gold. That's what was recommended to me and it has worked fine.

Va and Dwayne please post your application process for both:

Friday?
Saturday?
Will it dry fast or use hair dryer?

I am doing a coat of Protan Thursday and Friday, it dries pretty fast, but I use a blow dryer just to make sure things are completely dry. I will then put the dream tan on Sat morning before leaving the house. I will do any touch up needed at the show.

E68 This will be my first time using the Olympic tanner but the plan is to put on the first coat Friday, then wash off the bronzer portion later in the day so as not to get it all over our bedding. I'll then apply the second coat on Saturday morning, and a third coat mid-day Saturday if necessary. With the Olympic tan the product supposedly goes on very easily in about 10-15 minutes and will dry fast so a hair dryer is normally not necessary. It is a foam application that spreads evenly without build up or streaking -or at least that is what I hope! Good reports from others who have used it.

I did 6 coats....decided 5 this next show will be fine. I did not even use up one bottle !!! Amazing stuff you will love it. It took a lot of the "hate' out of the Tanning process. I still needed a bronzer over. I did Dream Tan in the room, early. This next show I am switching to the ProTan Ultra Bronze as it drys, unlike the Dream Tan which is more like a make up.

LT, I got 3 bottles of this olympic and tried two coats yesterday to see what it is like.
EASY application, but doesn't dry as fast as you would think, also after letting air dry still felt sticky from it.
I put a light coat of dream tan#2 and it looked good.
I usually do protan as base but will try this approach:
Tues-Thurs Mystic tan
Friday: Protan 1 or 2 coats, shower off late evening, 1 coat olympic
Sat: olympic 2 coats, 1 hr before competition 1 coat dream tan

Any thing you can shed on the olympic application?
