I've got a question about how your energy levels should be when your training for a competition. I started training in january for a figure show in june and along the way started having really bad symptoms of anxiety, including body chills, tremors, eye floaters etc. sounds were louder than normal. I also noticed that my energy was always low, but I was able to finish my workouts basically on adrenaline only.

Do others feel this way or is it because I am overtrained?

I do not think that your symptoms are normal. Certainly some feeling of being drained when close to a contest are normal, but at two or three months out you should not be feeling this way.

You may be over training, not getting enough rest, not being hydrated enough. Are you taking too many fat burners? Too much caffine? Are you on a balanced 5 or six meal a day pre-contest diet?

Do you have any friends who are experienced competitors you you can sit down with and explain what your diet and training plan is?

You need to figure out what is creating your symptoms and make the necessary changes to get back in balance. This sport should not be unhealthy or a health risk so please continue your quest to figure out what is causing these things. Could you have developed an underlying medical problem - Virus? Infection? Are your electrolytes in balance?

You can certainly go see your Doc and if this continues I would suggest that.

Seriously,
I would see the doctor, but I just want you to know that I had that weird feeling going on when I tried creatine, and again when I tried NOExplode. I guess I am just more sensitive than most.
