I am about to start depleting and was going to add in the grapefruit. I haven't had any in my diet for the past 11 wks and have kept my carbs to about 40g/day. I was wondering if the grapefruit would be too much sugar/carbs for my body to deplete with. Should I leave it out or does its water loss benefits out way the sugar/carbs. I was planning on having it w/ my 1st meal.

Laura, if you have been prepping on 40 g carbs all day you need to realize you are ALREADY depleted, trust me on that. You WONT need to go lower and you WILL need to fill back up Weds through Fri or you will be flat.

Most people think they can carb up friday night, its impossible with as flat as you probably are. It takes 48-72 hours to sufficiently refill a depleted muscle.

40 grams per day thats VERY low even for a woman....

A little grapefruit is hardly going to fill you back up.....you need sweet potato, rice cakes and white potato (great source of potassium).

Good Luck,
