Dropping water and a rapid fat loss protocol at 13%, 4 weeks out, would probably burn a lot of muscle and flatten you out simultaneously. My estimation would be that at 4 weeks out your bodyfat percentage is much too high.

way to high. I remember being 8% 4 weeks out once and my bev advisor (Jeremiah) was like its time to cut and get very serious. I ended up just under 6, but man the diet was intense and I lost a decent amount of muscle doing it.

I dont think you should do this, truly at 188 and 13% you should end up in the middleweights if dieted down right, in the light heavies you will look small and smooth.

Just my opinion. Id find a show that is in 16 weeks and aim for that.

Good Luck with whatever you decide.

definitely agree with J and Aram. I would also choose another show if you're truly 13% at 4 wks out. Also, if that's your true bodyfat level, you might consider competing as a welterweight (<164 lbs). My offseason weight is about 200-205 at 8-9% bf, yet i compete at 176.25 (top of middles).

I agree with Jason about finding a contest with a later date.

now that I think about it, fitdoc is right, you wouldnt be a middle but probably a welter, I forgot about the splittin of that class into two weight groups, havent competed since they did that.
