I'm 4 weeks outfrom competition, I was just woundering how long should you continue creatine use. I've been on muscle synergy and creatine select for the last 10 weeks with awesome gains. I'm concerned about the water retention. My weight is holding at 220lbs at 6% bodyfat but I'm holding water, maybe I'm just paranoid but I've made some great gains in the off season and I am very close to competition the water weight is a concern.

If you are using Beverly Creatine Select there is no reason to stop using it. If a product has just creatine or in this case sodium and potassium, it will not cause water retention. Those that say otherwise are using products that having other things in them and lots of sugar and they often gain fat. I would load Creatine Select starting the Tuesday before the competition. The creatine potassium in Creatine Select will really help fill your muscles out. Good Luck! Ray, thanks for the advise, Last year creatine select and muscle synergy were not incorporated into my contest diet. This season they were and it's been just amazing.

Just keep trying to work that bodyfat down maybe 1-2 % before your show in 4 weeks and you will tighter regardless of the creatine and I also would use the creatine all the way through showtime! I really think that bodyfat is more of your obstacle now than the water retention, often people mistake these 2 for each other, but in reality the supposed water is really the bodyfat from not dieting down hard enough and once you get to that last week and do all the right things for the last week and the supposed retention is there, its not that its fat!! 4 weeks is plenty of time and crank that cardio up now and get that last bit of fat off and get harder and maybe the calories have to be cut just a bit more!!
