has anyone tried a coat of mystic tan before using the protan? what do you think would happen?

J.. I've only ever prepped with 4-6 coats of pro-tan and then last coat is dream tan and/or ultra bronzer. Never tried the mystic. There were seveal other tanning threads posted under 'contest prep'. V

I have used Mystic Tan before using Pro-tan before a show and I loved the results! Having the base coat from the Mystic Tan seemed to make the Pro-tan go on less streaky! I would def. recommend it! Mystic Tan also covers your body pretty evenly. Let it set in over night and then rinse it off the next morning, so the color has a long time to darken.

I did two trips to the AirTan booth and then applied the !st coat of ProTan with my home airbrush unit/compressor.....Pro: It did make the 1st coat of ProTan more evenly applied, less missed spots (or appeared that way!!) Con: the Airbrush Tan is very drying to the skin and I was not diligently applying enough moisturizer. So I am going to do one visit to the booth because I have a prepaid visit left...but since I have airbrush/ compressor unit at home I am going to do my first coat of protan with the airbrush then paint the next 4-5 coats.

I have a call into Performance Brands to find out about the new ProTan in a Can and there new Bronzer Sheen in a Jar....but no call back yet.
