What is recomended and for best results before going on stage the goo, snickers or cocktail?
I have another question I am having problems with cuts not showing in my legs during competition. Any suggestions would be helpful. I might add I started with Bev. diet so this will be first time doing the beef and grapefruit on Friday before the show.
As a figure competitor we dont really need to worry too much about what we take before going on stage, we dont flex and work as hard a bodybuiders. that being said it all depends on how you react, everyone is different. Idid goo last show in may (placed 4th), I felt really jittery afterwards...too much sugar. last week I had a show (placed 1st) and had a rice cake with pbj on it 30 minutes before stage... right before stage I had a handfull of cashews... no candy and I felt great!!
as far as legs getting cuts in them, that comes with leaness and dryness. But again, with figure some organizations dont want ripped legs just toned with definition. for me, my legs get really lean and very defined from doing tons of interval work on the treadmill...sprinting on hills doing spinning class and eliptical. Also posing helps...this week (I have a show on sat.) I will spend time during each workout and in the evenings flexing and stretching my quads.. that works for me. when and what show are you doing? also, dont train legs(quads) after sunday before a show...Jodi
I also have a show saturday (Louisville). Thanks for the advice and I worked legs Saturday just to pump them up. I will try more stretching and flexing this week.
