Has anyone used a magic bullet? I've heard mixed things about it. I'm looking for an easy way to blend things like pancake mix. I also wanted to be able to grind things, like nuts, so I can use nut flour. Some reviews I've seen are good, some bad. I've also read about similar products - has anyone used anything that has worked well?

I have a magic bullet and think it's great for simple mixing of smaller shakes – 1 to 2 scoops UMP or MP, a few berries or ice cubes and 14-16 oz liquid max. It’s fast, easy to clean and easy to transport or store if you don’t have a lot of space (like at work). I have one here at Beverly in the cabinet in case I need to blend a shake with ice or berries here at work. If I'm only using UMP or MP and water, which I usually do, I prefer a Blender Bottle.

The MB doesn’t grind up ice or hard items super well and doesn’t have a super heavy duty motor. I usually pulse it when trying to get the last bits of berries or ice blended. It states not to run for more than 60 seconds at a time - so be careful not to burn up the motor.

But, again, for a simple shake I really like it. I’ve also made bean dip in it and that worked fine. The cups just aren’t super big for recipes with more volume... My hubby won’t use it because he can’t fit his shake in it.
