YO! I'm not totally sure if the pumpkin=sweet potatoe but I took the word from someone's post above that it was basically the same. On the can of Unsweetened pumpkin there's about 9grams of carbs per half cup. I'm going to email my Bev advisor to make sure it's ok. Either way it tastes grrrrrrrreat!

As for waiting to consume it...can't comment!! As soon as it comes out of the oven and I plop the butter on and I start eating!! You have to bake it at 350 for 30 minutes so I time it when the bell dings I"m starvin!

Take a look for comparisons on the glycemic index.

Go from there.

hey betty! hows it goin girl? i was wondering how long you have been on the low carb diet and how long it took until you starting seeing the results you sound so psyched about! i am so happy for you and i am hoping to see some real results soon! i think i am going to stick with the pumpkin if it is close, it is so much easier to pop a can than do the sweet potatoe thing. i am not a julia child in the kitchen if you know what i meanSmile keep up the great work! im pullin for ya!

What can be added in place of the banana. Haven't been able to eat them for more than 10 years. Severe allergic reaction.

You can spend your time any way you like, but you can only spend it ONCE.

You're gonna want something with a matching glycemic index. Maybe an Apple? I would just eat this as your carb up meal: White Potato, Sweet Potato, Oatmeal w/ 1 tbsp Honey and cinnamon, 2 cups Green Veggies, butter on your potato,or, on your veggies (but you don't wanna go overboard with your fats on this meal).

How does that sound. I only told you this because you can't do the Banana. Otherwise, I would never have put any Honey in this meal. This should work just fine though.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sounds good. I wondered what to add to the bread mixture instead of the banana--- unsweetened apple sauce maybe
