I use organic raw almonds and puree in food processor to the consistency I like. Best thing about making your own is no sugar, added oils, or other ingredients often added to purchased almond butter.

Awesome MarkD,
I appreciate it. Sounds simple enough. How much do you make at a time and how can you store it?

Thanks

I generally grind 1lb. of almonds at a time, put them in a sealable container and store them in the refrigerator. The oils can go rancid if not kept cool.

Yup- I do the exact same thing. So much cheaper than buying this from natural whole food stores. It's great!
