What's going on everyone?!?! I've been working out for a good year now with some minor bumps here and there, but I'm really trying to get into powerlifting now rather then bodybuilding, but I'm having trouble trying to come up with a good workout that is going to give me optimal mass and strength...any workout plans that have worked for any of you?!?!

Thanks guys

Just in time. There's a couple of powerlifters on here and the BI Newsletter now has a section for powerlifting.

The 5X5 works for about 8 weeks, then try moving to 8 sets of 3 reps after. I think that required 90% of your 1RM.

Maybe BigWade will post something.

Bomber

I used to have a powerlifting team train at my gym. They now have their own gym...but before they left we had lifts like a 1,000 pound squat (count the zeros that is one thousand pounds) by a 220 lb lifter, 650 bench by a 220 lb lifter, 865 lb deadlift...all in all they had over 35 state, national, and world records in a number of organizations, teen, amateur, masters, etc.

They/we used variations of the conjugate method for their training.

Look up the conjugate method, westside barbell, and dave tates elite fitness. There used to be a great newbie workout...I could not find it.

Here is a link to something on the conjugate method.
