In doing research i came across a triceps ladder exercise but can't find out anything about it.
What is it? What equipment do you need? How is in done? Does it even exist? Or is it just something made up to seel magazines or gym memberships? |

It is a type of drop set using close grip pushups. Here is how you can do it. If you have a smith machine this would work great, but you can use aerobic steps, or anything else that is stationary that you can stack. First do a set of close grip pushups. If you are strong enough, do them on the floor. If this is too easy slow your cadence. When you hit failure put the smith bar a notch or two up and continue to do close grip pushups. Keep repeating this for the desired number of sets and reps. This can be a great finisher. Other variations I have done something similar with other exercises. Take chest for example You start with I fairly high incline. Take that to failure. Immediately with the help of a spotter reduce the angle of the bench so that you can get more reps. Continue this until you are do flat bench or even decline bench. This would work best in a smith machine as well as there would be less set up problems. |
