I currently only have 2 days a week (Sat, Sun) where I have access to a gym since I am traveling and work long hours. I do legs Sat and Chest/Back Sun. I do crossfit (w/no weight)or Tabata Training 2 to 3 days in my hotel room during the week to try and make up for the missed gym time.
I want to make the most of my weekend workouts, any ideas? |

Hi,
That's great that you are trying to make the best of your situation instead of making up excuses like the majority of people would do! Here's my opinion. Since you only have 2 days, you want to focus on full body routines to maximize hormonal response and ditch the isolation stuff. It's easy to improvise on that stuff in your hotel room, etc. An example: Saturday (Horizontal Push/pull + quad dominant) A1) Bench Press (low reps + high sets) A2) Squats (high reps + low sets) B1) 1 - arm dumbbell bench press B2) Seated cable rows Sunday (Vertical Push/pull + hip dominant) A1) Clean + Push Press (low reps + high sets) A2) Snatch Grip Deadlift using very slow tempo (5 seconds raise, 5 seconds lower) for 4 sets of 6. B1) Weighted pullups B2) Standing Barbell curls C1) Dips Following weekend, repeat except switch the set/rep brackets for the big exercises. Hope this helps. Good luck!
