Fat loss is my primary goal right now. I am going to start doing cardio for 30 mins in the morning on an empty stomach. I was wondering what is the most effective way: HITT or just 30 mins on the elliptical or running? Also, how many days a week would anyone recommend? I will be lifting in the afternoon. Thanks!

Hey Stephanie. I wouldn't recommend doing HIT on an empty stomach even if fat loss is your goal. If you do, I hope that muscle loss is your goal to, because thats what you can expect with that! I personally would recommend 35-40 mins lower intensity cardio on an empty belly if tru fat loss is your goal, however it needs to be done EVERY DAY in order for it to be effective (cumulatively).

If you are truly bent on HIT in the mornings, then there is a simple solution. I know you want an empty belly, but that cannot truly happen unless you want to burn away a ton of muscle. SO the solution is BCAA's!! Either 2-4 scoops of Glutamine Select, OR a few servings of Muscle Mass will do the trick! You could also do 8-12 tabs of MASS, although that is full spectrum amino and not just BCAA's, it would also work and you probably wouldn't throw it up on a hard HIT day like you would if you tried to eat 1 cup oatmeal, 8 egg whites, 1 whole egge, and a half a grapefruit before your HIT Wink

Hey ChunyButt! Thanks for the great response! Muscle loss is definatley NOT a goal b/c it is my second goal. So would running or elliptical for 35-40mins 6 days a week be ok? I like one day to let my body rest!
