AM TRAINING ON AN EMPTY STOMACH

I train very early in the morning - 5 a.m. Upon waking at 4:30 I take my creatine select, GH Factor, and Synergy - which I understand should be taken on an empty stomach. I then fill my water jug with three scoops of Glutamine and hit the gym for about 90 minutes. I immediately drink a MP shake AFTER my workout with 8 more synergy. My question is, should I be drinking a MP shake BEFORE my workout or perhaps mix a coupel scoops MP with my Glutamine? Since the GH factor and other Bev Supps are recommended to be taken on an empty stomach - is there any risk of minimizing the effects of these by drinking a MP shake with them? Any advice would be appreciated.

Keep your routine as it is. Do the MP after your workout. Training first thing in the morning and consuming Creatine, Synergy and Glutmine select is the best thing you can do for building muscle and losing fat concurrently. Free form amino acids do not require digestion and these products are getting immediately into your system and influencing strength and recovery. MP gets in there quicker than whole food, but still won't be as quickly available as the free form aminos in the other products. If it's within your budget, Up-Lift would be the only other supplement I would add at that time.

Supplementing like this is far better than eating food before you train that early in the morning. Food won’t be digested and ready to help you in any way for hours. Unlike food, these things are utilized immediately for building muscle, replenishing amino acids and encouraging fat loss.

I did something totally different this past offseason for 11 weeks using only two Beverly products for my 5:00AM training sessions. Actually, three products.

I also train fasted, but using the following protocol I put on 16.5 lbs. of mostly lean mass doing the following:
- 1 scoop Glutamine Select, 8 Muscle Synergy, 1 gram Vitamin C pre workout.
- PRE, INTRA, POST: 2 1/2 scoops Muscle Provider mixed with 16 ounces fruit juice diluted with some water.(not prune or nectar types)
- 8 Muscle Synergy, 1 scoop Glutamine Select, 1 gram Vitamin C Postworkout.

Yes, my diet was a little higher in carbs, but never before have I put on this kind of muscle in such a short time. I had opportunities to use different protein powders, but boy am I glad I stuck with Muscle Provider!

After reading this thread yesterday, I decided to give training on an empty stomach a try as well. This was my first time taking Creatine Select, however, and I had such itching in my hands and feet! Is that a normal reaction?

The tingling you experienced is called Paraesthia. This is caused by the Beta Alanine in Creatine Select binding to nerve receptors, exciting them and causing them to fire off at random. Many of these nerves are located just below the skin's surface resulting in the pins and needles sensation. Most will become accustomed to this after a few uses and for me the feeling dissipates when I begin my workout.

It's also worth noting that this sensation is more pronounced when consuming beta alanine (creatine select) on an empty stomach. When taken with food or shortly after eating this specific effect seems to be buffered a bit.

Personally, I love it. I get this feeling from stacking Up-Lift and Synergy in the morning before training. That little rush tells me it's in my system and it's time to start training!
