Here's how you you would follow the supplements recomended for the program Days 1-30, 41-60 Super pak with meal 1 4 mass and 4 u 40 with each meal 8 Synergy in AM and 8 before training 1 tsp Glutamine 1/2 hour before training(I think this program was written before Glutamine Select was introduced, so I would use Glutamine Select here, also try another tsp during training) Additionaly UMP was not available back then. I prefer it to US, but either one is fine. 30 mins after training you would take 5 scoops Mass Maker. Days 31-40, 61-70 Get rid of the Mass Maker PWO Increase your U 40 to 6 per meal Add in 2 lean out per meal 17-18 Muscle Mass during your w/o, or possibly 2 additional tsp of glutamine select instead of the Muscle Mass. Hope that helps "Research your own experience, absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, add what is specifically your own." - Bruce Lee

Day one: was really great!! I enjoyed the structure of the routine and pushed myself very hard. I had never done dead lifts before (only straight leg), so I know that tomorrow's leg day will be really hard. I do have one more question: can you tell me what % I should be shooting for in the nutrition of this program? I am very visual and seem to do better if I write down my entire count for the day. I would like to know the % protein, carbs, fat and total calories that a 172# person should consume to see the results that I want. Thanks.

Glad you're first day went well. If you've never done Deads before, be sure you have the form down correctly, so you don't injure yourself. You might want to buy yourself a calorie counter book. You can find one at your local bookstore. I think there are a few websites out there too. That way you can work out the percentages yourself, ytou know the old addage "give a man a fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish he'll eat for his whole life" or something like that "Research your own experience, absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, add what is specifically your own." - Bruce Lee

Bill and others who have done the 7/70- Today is day 6 and I have really enjoyed the program so far, I can feel my body getting tighter and bigger from the training and nutrition. But today I think I have figured out what makes this program beneficial to lean muscle mass gaining. Today was my day two chest/back routine of 4-5 sets x 4-6 reps with a 4% increase from last time on bench press and deadlifts. WOW!!! This was tough...I had sweat pouring out of my body the whole time...I'm probably not real good at resting as long as they recommend, but I'm trying....My old routine I only rested about 45-60 seconds, so these 3-4 min rest periods are for ever!! But to gain strength, I'm trying.

It's funny that you're having trouble resting that long. I am just the opposite I have trouble with the short rest intervals I'm currently doing. I guess it's just what you're body is used to. It's a very good thing if it feels uncomfortable though. Glad you're liking the program. Keep plugging along. Right on. Here's a link to a journal I'm keeping for my precontest training this year. I started it right after I did my last 7/70 cylcle. http://fitnessandphysique.ipbhost.com/index.php?showforum=134 "Research your own experience, absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, add what is specifically your own." - Bruce Lee

Bill, Great journal and a great web site. I found two competitions in Indiana this summer and fall that I'm going to throw on my calendar. I was on the site for almost 1.5 hours tonight reading. Thanks again.

Hey guys my journal is right there as well and has all of SSHIT Training, cardio for the week, and then I sum up my cals for the week, and where my weight is hovering at at the end of the week! If you were on there for that long, you must have ran into my stuff on that site as well! http://fitnessandphysique.ipbhost.com/index.php?showforum=78 Craig Yarnall, CSCS, CPT, WNBF Pro "Lifetime Natural Bodybuilder" "Train Hard and Stay Natural" "Want A Bigger Body, Squat DEEP" "The truth is that you will probably never reach your full bodybuilding potential without doing the Squat. Yeah man, it's a great board. It's one of the few places I go go to for reliable information. I'm doing my first OCB show in June. It really seems like a solid organization. Have fun rummaging through all the information over there. When I first found it, I read almost every post on there, I'm talking like 4 years worth!!! What's your first name? Bill, thanks again for that web site, it's great. First name is Todd. Cytrainer, great journal as well. I really like the outside cardio routine and the informative nutritional logs. I too like to write down all my totals for the day. I have asked Bill and others for advice and it seems everyone on this site prefers the 50/20/30 approach. Do you agree? I am following the 7/70 program and really love it. I'm not sure I need all that food though. Can anyone give me any ideas how many total calories a 168-170# guy should be shooting for. I can figure out all the other totals from that number. I am at 10% BF and have short term goals of gaining the 7# of lean muscle mass while keeping or lowering my bf %. I just started talking the Bev products on Monday (ultra size, mass amino, synergy, super pak, ultra 40's, mass maker PWO). Just to give you an idea, I started cleaning up my diet on 4-1-06, started at 175# and was 168# this morning. Cardio only 3x/week at min/moderate intensity so I wouldn't burn up my muscle for energy. Mondays totals: cals= 1988 protein= 300.8 or 60% carbs= 156.7 or 31.5% fats= 23.77 or 10.8% I think I need to adjust these #'s slightly. Down in protein, down in carbs, up in good fats?? What about total calories for my weight and goals?? Thanks everyone.

Bill- the program calls for mass maker after workouts, today was a day off, but still went in a did some mild cardio/abs. Should I have mass maker after that morning workout or wait for meal #2 ultra size? Thanks.

Todd, Don't do the mass maker on off days. Only use it after weight training. How's your recovery right now? "Research your own experience, absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, add what is specifically your own." - Bruce Lee
