Marisa is right, just eat like you normally do and you should be fine. What exactly are you training for? 1.5 miles unless you never run or have never really ran isn't to much to train for.

What you eat after you run is subjective to your goals. If all you are interested in is a "recovery" aid after energy expenditure, you should go with something that is balanced with the necessary elecrolytes, carbohydrates, and lean protein source..... Dare I say it?? MASS MAKER!!

Two times I use Mass Maker, a) when running errands in the offseason and will miss a meal, that way I can get protein and carbs that I need (add a little MP to the mix) or b) after a soccer game and im 50 mins from my kitchen and need quick carbs and protien. As for adding carbs in, if you are eating the diet you and I have been discussing I dont think you will need them. If you are doing a lower carb diet then Id add some before my run. I can tell a huge differnce if I run short on fuel/glycogen. Good Luck in your Police Academy stuff.

You should know my answer, GREAT meal, you got your fast acting proteins in, plus a HUGE helping of potassium, add some sea salt and drink plenty of liquids to replenish electrolytes. In college for soccer we had to do two miles in under 12 mins, try it, its brutal, especially in central Kentucky in August....many pukers on that day. Set the freshman record many many years ago, im sure its been broken, but did it in 11:18. Good Luck
