I would eliminate any movement that causes pain in your shoulders. Does the pain surface during chest or shoulder exercises? If the shoulder exercises create the pain, I would eliminate them entirely. The shoulders get taxed tremendously during chest and back training. If the shoulder pain occurs during chest training, I would switch to DB presses (flat/incline) and ditch the smith machine.

Hi Aram, The shoulder exercises do not cause any pain; if I do dumbll incline press I feel pain in the left shoulder. I use a machine like the smith machine and I do not feel any pain when I work chest. How is my diet? And why do I get to be skinny fat?

Thanks,

Rab

If you feel you are "skinny fat" you are not lifting heavy enough on a progressive basis. Your nutrition also might be a bit too much to support your training. What poundages are you using on you exercises? You can contact me directly via PM.
