What protein powder are you using? Are you lactose intolerant? Whey concentrate can cause bloating and gas. For 2 or 3 days I would eliminate one of the supps you are taking to see if that has any effect. Start by dropping the Ultra 40. If that wasn't causing your issues, add them back in and drop the Synergy, and so on and so on. Is there anything you've added to your diet which you normally do not eat? Wheat? Excess fiber? Egg whites? Go over your foods. Aram N. Hamparian Pro Natural Bodybuilder

personally, after i started on Ultra 40 it caused some severe, as you say, room-clearing gas. my roomate even complained :P talk about embarrassing. i'd go with Aram's advice. start with the Ultra 40 and see if it's the culprit. i'm kinda curious myself if that's it :P

Let's take this further and on a different note. You probably started with everything. Do the opposite and stop everything. Introduce each item one at a time starting with the shake. That should be the only thing you use. If that's fine day 1, day 2 add Mass Aminos...and so on until you find either the culprit or the bad combination. Frank

In general, any changes in a person's diet can cause some adjustment issues, usually lasting a couple of weeks. Common adjustment signs include rapid increases or decreases in weight, fluctuations in energy or strength, and digestive discomfort for those with more sensitive GI tracks. Consequently, the bloating you are experiencing may not be due just to the supplements. Increasing protein and decreasing carbs in general can cause some GI reactions. However, Beverly’s supplements are very nutrient dense so they may take some getting used to as well. Frank’s suggestion is a good one. Give your system a little time to get used to the change in your diet first. It may be helpful to include a calorie-free fiber supplement (like BeneFiber) and Multiple Enzyme Complex for better protein digestion. Also, make sure that you are getting enough water. Once you start feeling better then re-introduce the supplements as Frank suggests. Your other option is to tough it out and give it all a little more time, as long as you can stand it and are not getting worse in the meantime. Good luck at your competition! Rita
