How come there is NO fiber in Mass Maker? Isn't the whole point behind MM to have a SLOW blend protien along with a Slower release Carbohydrate in one product?? Couldn't you slow the release of "pentose-shaped" Maltodextrin by adding a fiber content in the mix?

If Beverly is THE BEST company out there, and I believe they are, why not make a good product even better?? Put in some Fiber or at least list the fiber content (Dhalia Inulin).

I know I am splitting hairs and I could just add some strawberries, but I like the taste all on its own without the inconvenience of throwing MM in a blender along with a few strawberries and some Flax for oil and extra fiber?

Do U see what I mean? I don't know, maybe I'm asking to much and I'm grouchy and feeling lazy.......

I love mass maker but I prefer whole food carbs sources better. However, I keep a jug of MM for when Im not at home which usually occurs on weekends, we were traveling today so I had two MM shakes (Im probably one of the few who prefer the macros in it over any other proteins they offer for offseason usage).

But, I wasnt as regular as I usually am, lol, and extra fiber in it could have really helped.

Ahhh...you didn't add the strawberries. Big Grin

Perhaps the added fiber would be a problem for others that love MM.

Several years ago when I read about Mass Maker, it was supposed to be slow released, up to 10 hours, if I'm not mistaken.

I've also noticed Bev products to be used "Mix and Match" such as MM with MP or adding 100% Egg with any of the three, UMP/US/MP and of course, adding other fruits and oils/fats.

I've been out of the other supps loop since 2001 and don't know if it is common practice to add/mix-n-match.

The Dahlia Inulin is a Fibrous carb and it's the one with up to 10 hour release time. The intent of this is for glycogen replenishment, not necessarily as a digestive aid. To add more fiber specific to digestive aid would pose a couple problems in the real world. Number one, the price would be driven up. And secondly there's a taste issue. But let's remember Mass Maker is for building muscle and losing fat and enhancing athletic performance. We certainly advocate consuming lots of healthy fiber but you simply can't have everything in one product. If you truly need extra fiber in addition to your daily food intake, there are lot's of great fiber supplements out there (sugar free citrucel is a good one).

A tablespoon of psyllium husk pwder also works great. I often add it to my UMP or MM shakes to add a good dose of fiber, especially if I am using the shakes as a meal replacement. It also adds a nice thickness and a lot of volume to them.

I did end up getting my hands on some NOW Flax Meal and it was great! Couldn't even taste the Flax Meal, gave it a better food like texture, AND it gave me the fiber and healthfull fats I was looking for. There is NOTHING better than MASS MAKER! Definetly my second favorite BEV product.

I would weigh it out. Put your scale on the metric system (grams) and weigh it out would be your best bet. The scoop from MP is larger than the one for Mass Maker
