ZMA for Women

I have avoided ZMA because I thought it had similar qualities as testosterone.

I've read about the benefits of taking ZMA and want to hear from others what the pro's/con's are for a woman to take ZMA. Should a woman take ZMA?

Thanks!

I used to take ZMass PM. I didn't have any bad side effect, though don't really know what it did for me.

Did you find that your recovery was faster and/or did you sleep better? That is typically the reason I get as to why people take it.

Thanks for the reply Smile

It's hard to say - I take a fair amount of Glutamine and I think that aides in recovery. And, when you get up at 4:30 each morning, it's not too touch to fall asleep. Big Grin I did sleep well, but I do anyway.

I made good gains during the time I took it, I'm just not sure that the ZMA had anything to do with it - but it didn't hinder anything.

ZMA is used for replenishing the system after stress, whether by emotional, illness or working out. All have their part in depleting the system. Without "normal" levels it tends to affect the immune system along with that, it will affect the quality of rest.

In that being said, the quality of your rest affects the production of testosterone. Poor rest, low, or less than your average test production.

For women, it may up your test levels just a slight amount. This DOES NOT mean that you'll fail a drug test, nor does it mean that your testosterone will far exceed your estrogen output. No moustaches or deep voices.

Your neighborhood GNC person has said, "OHHH, NO! Don't take that. It's like adding steriods."

Honest. That's what I've heard some say. Hehehe. I like to walk in and ask about products. Here's what another had said, "ZMA? That a test-booster. When you sleep, it will shoot your testosterone sky high! Don't take it. I don't recommend it for women."

I recommend it and add that with GH-Factor. Yes, it will up the testosterone in women, but in no way will you begin to look like a man. I simply will help you build muscle. Now, if you're looking to do cardio only, such as marathons, then I would still recommend it because of depletion.

Ok, I know I left myself open for this one. NO, I didn't dress and pose as a women. I had a lady ask for me as I listened.

Women will take 2-3 caps depending on weight. Most women will take 3. Take it before you go to bed.

I keep mine on my nightstand and take 3 with water right before I lay down.
