Have a question before bed I drink a shake. If I drink MP I am up 3 to 4 times going to the bathroom. If I drink UMP maybe get up 1 time (which is normal for me). Just wondered what might be the cause.

The only thing I can think of is this, but would never have thought, this if it wasnt for your results.

MP is a quick acting protein, it goes through you very quickly.

UMP is much slower, with milk proteins, which in the stomach congeal and digest over time. Thats why its PERFECT for bed. Course, I just take about 3/4 cup of cottage cheese, does the trick in the offseason.

Anyways, due to the fact the MP digest much quicker and moves through the system much quicker I would say that is why you urintate more in the night. Though, I have never experienced this, but i rarely ever get up during the night to urinate, even if I drink water prior to bed.

See what others say....

Muscle Provider is not a bed time protein. First meal and after training is optimal times. Use UMP as Jason suggested before bed for sure along with a few Muscle Synergy.

I agree with JT and SB. At one time Muscle Provider was the only Beverly protein powder I was using, pre-contest and offseason, along with their 100% Egg (best egg white protein I've ever used). For pre bed use I would mix in some heavy cream with the MP. When I'd awake in the morning I would have 2 scoops MP, a handful of Mass Amino's, and 8-12 Muscle Synergy. Using this basic type of strategy, I never sacrificed any muscle while dieting down for shows. Muscle Provider can work quite well in a wide variety of situations.

I tend to agree with Aram on this one. I lean toward taking purer proteins (i.e. whey isolates, or fast-acting blends like MP) for all situations, then slowing them down with some healthy fats, as opposed to taking a lower quality protein (like casein, etc.) that's slower digesting. Why not just slow it down with healthy fats?

Anyway, I know that's probably not popular, but it's how I do it. Nothing wrong with US or UMP at all, but I choose MP over both, and use it in all situations myself.

......and that has made all the difference.............

We don't need to get real descriptive here, and I'm not a nutrionist or doctor, but...if you're getting up to urinate multiple times per night, it's not going to be attributed to a different type of protein that you used on a given day. Urination would be tied to kidney activity most likely and would take a period of months to show a noticable change in your habits. This could be something more serious; might want to get the yearly physical in the next month as a precaution. However, if you're talking about taking a deuce a couple times at night...first of all, that's incredible, secondly, yeah, chuck out the late night MP and take some night-time herbal supplements.
