An increase in your testerone levels may be causing acne breakouts. Just a thought!

I agree, It could be an increase in testosterone. are you taking any other supplements? Reason I asked is I tryed Tribex a few years ago & had an extreme breakout. One thing you might consider too is making sure you are getting enough EFA's in your diet. I have found with many folks, that once they get their EFA (essential fatty acids) in balance, acne clears up and they notice a real improvement in skin, hair, and nails. Tom

Hi, No other supplements other than Lean Out, GH Factor and the MS Power Pak. I do also take plenty of Flax seed oil daily. I don't see a reason why there would be an increase in testosterone with those supplements or?? I really would hate to stop these supplements and was wondering if anyone else had the same problem with them. Keeping fingers crossed that it's not the supplements. I stopped them yesterday to see if I can rule them out. I was asked by the dermatologist if I eat a lot of protein and after saying yes.. I was told that high protein can causes acne problems..anyone heard of that? I would hate to stop eating the protein as well.. this is just screwing me up.

Kelly, Im pretty sure someone else asked this question on the old board. I dont remember what the consensus is/was. But, Id recommend stoping the Power Pak and see if that helps. If it doesnt then drop the GH, if that doesnt help then the Lean Out. Give your body at least 2 weeks before dropping a supplment to see if the skin clears. This should allow you to systematically determine what the cause is. Im more inclined to say its the Power Pak. This has a full range of vitamins and essential nutrients. My suspicion is that it has sent your hormones into overdrive. There are many causes of acne. Increased test, increased oily skin, etc. Also, just because you are 22 does not mean your body is through with changes. Sure puberty is long gone, but there is such a thing as adult acne. I hope thats not it, but just put that out there. I never had any problem as a teenager but started to have problems as i got more and more into working out. I spoke to a dermatologist and his advice was switch to dove for my face, non allergenic and non fragrance kind. The harsh facial cleansers were overdrying my skin making it over produce oil. He also had me get a non comodogenic lotion (doesnt block pores) and put this on my breakout areas (forehead and sides) everytime after washing the face. This totally cleared up my problems. Just a thought and cheap enough to give it a try. They also make non comodogenic lotions with acne medicine in them, ive used these too and work just as well. But could dry out again. Lastly, I know it sucks, when you think a supplement is really helping you, to go off it, but dont let it be the end of the world. A break is good for your body. If anything stay extra good on your diet and cardio to compensate, youll be fine. I was the same way when I had to come off Synergy and livers for a medical issue. But, now ive been off for about 3 mos and when i do add Synergy back it will really have a nice effect on my physique as the warm weather approaches:-). Good luck! Hi Kelly. I’m sorry to hear that you are having acne problems. I know first hand how frustrating that is. There is nothing in Lean Out or Ms Power Pak that should be making you break out. In fact, the vitamins, minerals and essential oil caps in the Ms Power Pak have been known to make the skin healthier. GH Factor promotes a better hormone release, while helping you spare muscle, lose fat and recover better. Due to the recent changes in your program and activity level, you may very well be producing more testosterone, as your fellow board members suggested. You are also at an age where your body and hormonal structure may be going through cahnages. I noticed more break outs around your age. Try to back off your GH Factor this month and see if it makes a difference. Also, make sure to drink at least a gallon of water a day and wash your face with a mild cleanser in the morning and before you go to bed. A great over the counter cleanser is Cetapil. It made a great difference in the condition of my skin. I hope this helps a bit with your frustrations. Good luck to you! Rachel Beverly

The GHFactor helps your body to naturally release growth hormone and as a result your hormones may be getting whacked out. I would love to use it to shed more b/ fat but it does the same thing to me and I'm 41. i.e. the longer i use it the worse the breakouts.I believe supplementation is different for everyone and just because I can use one product with good or better results does not that you will get the same results.I would say to cut them all out and them in at one week intervals and see what happens. I have a feeling that it is the GH so add that back in first and see what happens. Good Luck!!!!

Thanks everyone for the responses! I wondered if it was the GH factor but then again I just recently added it to the Lean Out and I was having breakouts before the GH factor was added but now that I think about it, it may have gotten a little worse after. I would hate if it was the GH as it has worked really well for me so far.
