JTheo if you could help me out with this that would be great...

I have used Vandy and chrom successfully with my high carb meals during my contest diet but now I am wondering how should I use them in the off season?

I was thinking 1 dose at breakfast 1 dose at pre workout and 1 dose with my post workout shake (Waxy maize and MP) and then the last dose with my post workout meal 1-1:30 after the shake...My carbs will be highest at breakfast, pre and post in the off season so to my knowledge this would be the best way to use them...Any help would be great

only use 4 doses per day. Take at first bite.

Use with morning meal, pre workout is fine, post workout waxy maize, then Id save the last dose for meal 6, but thats me because I eat carb at every meal in the offseason, about 440 grams worths pread over 6-7 meals, so I like to take the last dose with my evneing meal which is around 10:30 pm. If you dont eat carbs at your last meal the 130 meal is fine.

Your best bet is to use them with meals containing carbs at first bite.

if you are dieting though, its always smart to have with your last meal of the day even if it is low in carbs. Because they will help shuttle more nutrients to the cell and clear the glucose from the blood quicker right before bed.

Can I take other insulin mimickers and blood sugar controllers like Banaba extract along with Vandy or Chrom? Or would it be unsafe to have too many of these products in ones diet...I am asking this because this creatine supplement that I am thinking about taking contains Banaba extract.

I am not familiar with banaba. the only issue would be that the one I discuss do in fact work and pretty darn good for OTC, you go adding other things and you could experience low blood sugar symptoms.

Jtheo - In your expert opinion would 400mg of chromium and 40mg of vanadium with the addition of 600mg of R-ALA be too much or should I try it out and see if I can handle it. Right now I take 400mg of chromium and 40mg of vanadium looking to add the 600mg of R-AlA...Let me know what you think...Thanks

Do you mean in a day???

I subscribe to use the least amount that accomplishes your goal.

I do 10 mg van and 200 mcg chrom poly 4 x daily when cutting. I use them 3 x while bulking and after meals.....not at first bite like when cutting.

check out my website for more information.

BTW, if thats at one sitting then yes thats WAY too much.

Id do as I stated above and maybe use the r-ala at the meals you dont use the protocol I mentioned above.

I checked out your site but the Slin Trol isnt available yet...Why when you are bulking do you take the chrom and Vandy at last bite?...I take vandy and chrom at breakfast, Pre, post workout shake and with my post workout meal at first bite should I change it to last bite?...I think I will add R-ALA in three times during my other meals and see what happens...Thanks for the help

its available.

I take at last bite when bulking becuase insulin is a very anabolic hormone and I want a spike or more release, but I also dont want it spiked to long so I take the gdas after to help shuttle the glycogen and aminos. Trying to get a little best of both worlds.

Good Luck!
