Hi there - I was looking at adding Muscle Mass BCAA's to my diet and was wondering how they would be best utilised in getting lean and building/maintaining as much lean muscle tissue when dieting.

Dr Eric Serrano recommends taking them right after your last set in your workout. I weight around 180 pounds, so how many tablets would I need to take of Muscle Mass before/ after I train?

Also, are there any issues in combining this product with Glutamine Select? And would it be better to take Muscularity instead of Muscle Mass for dieting purposes? How do you decide?

Thanks!

Dr. Serrano does know his stuff, and adding the Muscle Mass after your workout would be fine. Most Bev'ers would use Muscle Mass DURING the workout in conjunction with Glutamine Select sipped throughout their workouts. Really, there are a number of effective ways that you can use Muscle Mass! It really just depends on your goals and your diet.

Muscularity is more of a specific formula that would work best during the last few weeks before showtime and taken WITH meals.

Divide your weight by ten. That's how many you would take...Or just drink a protein and carb shake while you workout. I know I'm going to get jumped on for this one...but I have vanilla whey protein mixed with fruit punch flavored waxy maize, and powdered beta alanine, arginine, and creatine. Caffeine pre-workout. Crazy workouts have been created with this combo.

I do better with this than with just BCAA's or EAA's during the workout. Better pumps, more energy, more endurance, etc.

Specifically what Dr Serrano recommended is .25 - .35 grams of BCAAs per Kilogram of Bodyweight during training. Charles Poliquin also uses this method on all his athletes at every level with our Muscle Mass. In fact this dosing parameter is on the low end of what Poliquin recommends.

I have used this method prior to a shows and other times and it works great. It's uber-effective on a precontest diet. Regardless of how low my calories went to get shredded, muscle loss was non-existent, I got stronger each week, and fat melted. It may sound like a newly discovered method, but we started recommending this over 10 years ago.

Muscle Mass and Glutamine Select are the best two products to use during training. Muscularity is actually formulated to work better with meals/food. A combo of Glutmine Select and Muscle Mass works great.

If you want to go for the gusto and try out this proven dose yourself here it is: 180/2.2=82 kilos. .25 - .35 gms per Kilo would be 20.5 - 29 grams of BCAAs. 3 scoops Glutamine Select + 13 Muscle Mass during training would deliver 20.7 gms of BCAAs. 4 scoops Glutamine Select + 19 Muscle Mass would deliver the high end of your target range at 29.1 grams BCAAs.

It's worth noting that each of Beverly's BCAA products deliver the correct ratio 2-2.5:1:1 of Leucine:Isoluecine:Valine

Good luck,

I have to agree with Steven. Right now I am megadosing Glutamine Select and Muscularity, and the fat is just melting off me with no loss of muscle mass. I am a tall and lanky 5'9" and currently weigh 148.5 lbs at 4 1/2 weeks out, but had no problems today deadlifting 2.5x my bodyweight for sets and reps.

During the prep for my last show three years ago, I weighed more at this juncture, wasn't taking Glutamine Select and wasn't megadosing Muscularity, and just trying to peel 225 off the floor for deads was just too much.

Beverly's bcaa products are the best I have ever used.
