Even though this is Beverly's own website I feel confident that I will get a straight answer on this. I am 20 years old and was wondering if a ZMA supplement would be ok for be to add to my arsenal. I'm just asking because from what I read it increases hormone production, and messing with hormone production from what I know about it may not always be a great idea. Thanks. G.UU.B
Well I would hate to say go ahead and it does mess with your hormones and you grow ***** but, hey if that happens look at all the publicity you could get at next years Super Bowl. In all seriousness though you'll be alright. It does not raise things all that much not like some g.h. your gonna get from the Doc. All ZMA is, is a combo of zinc, magnesium, and vit b-6 and none of those are going to cause any damage.
I'm backing ya. Wow! What a name for this board. LOL
ZMA will not raise beyond a normal level, well, I'm referring to men. There was a post about GH Factor raising a woman's test level.
What happens in high stress of normal life and workouts pose, you'll lose some or a lot of those trace minerals. Without them in the body, you'll tend to lose a restful sleep. I notice if I don't take them, I can go great with 6 hours of sleep. If I do take them, I need 8 hours.
So as far as becoming a super heavy-weight NPC probodybuilder, no it is not going to have those effects, alone. It is a great thing to have in the arsenal, though.

I grunt, therefore I am.

I'm 23 brother and have been taking it for about 5 weeks now. I have a really busy schedule and usually can't get enough sleep time in to recover from my work outs. I also have a very difficult time sleeping. Since taking ZMA I'm getting a great nights sleep, not waking up through out the night and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go. So I know for me it's a great supplement. Where in DC are you from?? I'm form there but just moved to california a year ago.
