I have been wondering this about Mass Maker for a long time now, but never asked anybody about it because of blind faith in the product. Mass Maker uses Pentose-Chain Maltodextrin, Rice syrup solids and Inulin as Carbohydrate sources, but primarily Maltodextrin.....
Here is my question: If listing Inulin in the ingredients table, why does the supplement facts list NO Fiber?? If there truly is no fiber in Mass Maker, maybe Beverly should add some fiber content to Mass Maker to decrease Carbohydrate absorption time even further? What do fellow Bev-Heads think about this? As a post workout shake, I would rather they not slow the carb absorption. The fast carbs/protein ratio of Mass Maker is perfect for post workout recovery. I will also use waxy maize or dextrose and Muscle Provider for the same effect, but it is nice having all I need in one blend.

Mass Maker is one of those products Beverly made that is like 100% Egg (Bev no longer makes it) in that it is better used when added with another product. Most of us would use it in conjuction with another protein source. Some would prefer to use with Muscle Provider whereas others would mix in Ultra Size or UMP.
Then there are those that would rather take it alone, such as 6 scoops, throw in some honey or another high sugar to trigger the insulin response. Everyone likes to try something different to fit their needs and wants. In the above concoctions, the proteins are added to Mass Maker and not Mass Maker added to the other protein. In other words, the ratio is higher in Mass Maker. My mix would be 3 scoops MM : 1 scoop MP. Did it work? ~Shrugging shoulders~ Did it taste good? I didn't do it for too long because it was between contests. I maintained strength, something I never did prior to Beverly. After that, the Holidays arrived and it was time to tighten up rather than gain. LOL Frank "Lift and be happy. Lift harder and be excited...Get Excited, Get Big!!!" |

This is tru, however, I don't think Mass Maker was ever inteded to be a "post-workout" shake. The release time of the carbohydrate blend/protien blend is "10-hour release" time, thus not making it optimum for postworkout... not that I believe in the whole "lots of sugar after a workout" is necessary.
