So I'm looking into doing a show in Sept and I'm gonna start the diet in June. I was wondering which supplements everyone thinks should be a must and which ones would be good if I can afford them.

Jared,

If you're doing a contest in Sept and begin a diet in June, either you're in great shape, already at 8%, I would suggest you begin dieting now.

As for supps, start now. There will be others you will change over as your contest gets closer.

For now, I suggest basic needs:

-UMP or MP start off with one shake. In three weeks begin using 2. Use with fruits and whipping cream.

-Ultra 40's
-Lean Out
-Multivitamins or SuperPak

If you can afford more:
-Creatine Select
-Muscle Synergy

And...if you can afford:
-GH Factor
-ZMA

These would be my beginning supps.

Thanks!! I already use MP with strawberries and 2tblsp of whipping cream. Also i already use creatine select. I'll pick up the other ones. I'm not 8% so I guess I'll start the diet earlier. Thanks for the input

Mid May, drop the Lean Out, Creatine Select and ZMA for a few weeks and add Mass Aminos and Density.

Cycle most of the products because it keeps the body in a guessing game. You don't want to use all of them all of the time. Well, I wish we could! Big Grin

If you don't quite know how to use these supps, I'll post it later or some other will.

This is gonna be my first show and I'm starting right now at about 172-174. I usually float between there. I'm not sure how low I will get I'm relatively lean right now but by no means am I show lean. As far as MP I use two scoops but my postworkout is gonna be either chicken or top round and a white potato.

Yeah, sometimes that rips me up (Pun intended.). They have chosen guys with NO symmetry at all over a guy that has size but not quite as ripped.

So yes, get as ripped as possible. On the other hand, I believe Jason used creatine all the way to the final week. I would suggest either Density up to 2 weeks out and Muscle Synergy all the way to showtime.

I don't have experience with Density, so I cannot recommend it all the way to the day of the contest.

MultiVitamins - AM with Meal #1 (I believe Aram separates and takes in intervals.)

Ultra 40's 6 with each meal (5 meals)
Lean Out - (at this point) 3ea Meal 1, 3, 5
Muscle Synergy - 8 30 minutes prior to workout 8 mid workout

Creatine - No loading phase 1/2 dose in the AM 30 min prior to Meal #1 or #2.

Creatine/Glutamine the other 1/2 dose of creatine and glutamine immediately after workout. Do this for 4 weeks. Take two weeks off, then place this dose to 30 min prior to Meal #5.

NOTE: You'll be getting creatine via Muscle Synergy. Cycle with the second week of the two weeks off of creatine.
