At 49 years of age , I still workout at 4:45 am . This is typically after running a high level ice hockey practice the previuos night at least three of the 4 nights during the week . I diet is good so is my recuperation formulas , my concern is that I am drinking two cups of coffie to get going in the morning . WHile this dunkin donnuts at home mix works great to get me going , my concern at 49 is acid reflux and the adjatation of acids from the coffie .
A fellow co -worker at 54 has been diagnosed with cancer of the Eso and I dont want to trade off great workouts for the continued some what agitation of my stomach ect .
Is there a good prework formula that will spike my ability to train at 4:45 ect that wont produce major stomach acids ect ?
I give myself 30 mins from wakeing up to training
Thanks

BI's low carb, stimulant free training formula is called Up-Lift. It has three main functions. Nitrous Oxide production, exercise performance and energy from amino acids. I love to use Up-Lift on the days that I don't really feel like training. Two scoops in water before leaving work and by the time I get to the gym I feel energized, focused, and like I really want to train. Not to mention I need less rest between sets, feel stronger, and get a great pump. You can read more about Up-Lift here http://store.beverlyinternatio...preadd=action&key=54.

I need to try this stuff.... I have a terrible time waking up in the morning... THINKER what are you eating in the morning to get more strength in the gym? I am contemplating starting a morning routine.

I posted earlier about a morning routine. Uplift contains the amino L-Tyrosine, which is a neurotransmitter. It can feel (I would say) motivating, rather than stimulating. It is a much cleaner perk-up than caffeine...very smooth. You can probably cut your coffee in half with uplift in play. You may eventually be able to eliminate it.

Also, try a little ginger root tea rather than coffee. It will help the stomach, perk you up and the hot temp of the tea will have the same reaction for warming up the body. Ginger has proven better than the best med for nausea. It also helps soothe GI issues.

Perhaps the issue of acid reflux is not only the coffee, but the amount of fluid consumed. Keep it to sips as you workout.
