I have 2 sons & both are very different atheletes. Oldest son plays D2 college football and is a cornerback speed not a problem would like to gain 15-20 pounds and increase strength. Currently is on creatine select, UMP, & super paks. Is he on the right track or does antone have any other suggestions. Youngest son is a going to be a Junior in HS and is a wrestler. He is already being recruited by D1 schools. He does not take any supplements currently. Keeping in mind he walks around about 137 pounds and will wrestle at 125 this fall. This one may be a little trickier any suggestions.

I myself plaid D2 Fball and it is very demanding, the biggest problem these athletes face is getting enough calories in to meet the demands of a student athlete.
I think the right way to approach this is to purchase a skin caliper and do a 7-9 site test on your sons, or they can ask their athletic trainers to do this for them. From there you can easily figure out there lean mass in lbs. Once you have those numbers you can get a rough idea of where their calories need to be for the day(I am guessing they are easily going to be in the 20-25 cal. per lb during in season, especially during double sessions), once you get that overall calorie number then you can break it down by meals and rough sketch them a diet that they can try to stick to! |

Your son playing cornerback is certainly on the right track. Creatine select is a great choice. I'd also recommend adding Mass Maker and Muscle Synergy. 3 scoops of Mass Maker added to each UMP shake 2-3 times a day will increase his nutritional density and overall caloric intake to help gain the muscle he's after. With Muscle Synergy, make sure he can commit to taking the required amount of tablets every day before you purchase. 8 tabs twice daily is what he'll need.
Super Pak vitamins and UMP would be great for your other son. It's simple and easy. Protein and vitamins are essentials for anyone and this will tremendously improve his basic nutrition. Up-Lift would be immeasurably valuable for either to boost immediate performance. 2 scoops before a game or training can improve stamina, endurance, strength, mental clarity, buffer lactic acid and prevent fatigue. I dont play football but I just finished my senior year of wrestling. I had my best season ever wrestling at the Ohio State Wrestling Championships. This board helped me nail down a great diet and supplement plan that I used the whole season. As for supplements I would go with Ultra 4 or SuperPak, Muscle Provider before practice and even after if he likes it. I would also get some Glutamine Select and take it to the meets with him to sip on throughout the day. There are a few others but that covered it for the most part. Using those supps esp the GS helped with sore muscles because as Im sure he knows sore muscles and tiredness can be a battle in itself. Also, I got most of my diet advice form Jason Theobald right here on the board. His diets provide great energy and kept me very lean all season so you may also look into contacting him for some advice. Hope this helps some
