Why is it important to take Muscle Synergy on an empty stomach? And if that is the case, is it effective to take before bed because my stomach is relatively empty then. Also, if given the choice taking it first thing upon waking (when my stomach is empty) or right before a workout (if I workout later in the day and my stomach is not empty), which is more effective? Thanx...
upon waking (when my stomach is empty) or right before a workout (if I workout later in the day and my stomach is not empty),
The major ingredient in Muscle Synergy is the L-Arginine. There is lots of scientific evidence that that particular amino acid is absorbed best in free form on an empty belly.... That is what research suggests, but all in all, I think that is splitting hairs.
Most supplements (besides for essential aminos of which is a whole new barrel of topic) SHOULD be taken with food. Afterall, they are a component of macro-nutrients and so it would make sense that the assimilation should be greater when things like HMB, CLA, Creatine, and even L-Arginine are taken with whole food. They are, afterall, dervied from "food". To each his own, and so I say try it both ways? I personally haven't found, or "felt", a difference either way.

CB, you're right about Arginine binding with the food source, basically making it less effective.
John, before the workout could be about 2 hours after you've eaten. By that time, food stuff is no longer in the stomach itself, once you begin to eat like a body builder or diabetic on a good food diet, which is at least 5 meals per day.

I just started using Muscle Synergy as well. When I placed my order I was told to take it both in the morning AND right before my workout. I have not deviated from this ,so I cannot say that there is a better or worse time...but the stuff is Great !
