I thought I'd share w/ the board that I had recently been on a 7 month hiatus from taking my Beverly Super Pak. This was
a conscious decision I made in an effort to reduce my monthly supplement expenses. I truly believed that I was ingesting
all of the necessary vitamins and minerals from whole food alone and couldn't justify the continued use of the Super Pak.
Let's just say that the results I encountered were less than positive.
These changes were very subtle and unnoticeable at first but as I continued down this path, these little changes began to accumulate and create some pretty significant problems. The changes in my hair, finger nails, and skin were the first to emerge. My hair wasn't thinning but I did notice that the length of time I could go from one hair cut to the next was longer than normal. My finger nails began breaking and cracking regularly and my skin was suddenly prone to break outs and excessive dryness. Ok, so my hair, my finger nails, and my skin were not at their best but my energy levels were still high and my strength in the gym was still increasing. Well, that only lasted so long...I soon began to notice little nagging cold like symptoms coming and going. A cough one week, nasal/sinus congestion the next week, a mild soar throat, etc. My recovery time from one workout to the next was closing in on a freakishly slow rate and I also found myself feeling drained throughout the day. At this point, I'm really beginning take notice of the changes in my body but I wasn't willing to admit that it was due to the lack of the Super Pak. Now, my workouts were starting to look like a Silver Sneakers Program and I was still not recovering properly. My blood sugar levels were also starting to do some weird things after meals and my mini colds turned into a full blown "stay in bed for a week" sickness. Never in my life have I been off from work and bed ridden with a virus/cold for this long. Finally, after staying out of the gym for 35 days, taking a 14 day long course of antibiotics and prednisone, I was on the road to getting back to training. Oh...and since my recovery, I have resumed full use of Beverly's Super Pak and can actually feel a difference. The additional vitamins/minerals ingested from the Super Pak illicit thousands of changes on a cellular level that affect your recovery, performance, energy levels, hair/nail growth, skin repair, etc. It's easy to lose focus of what's important and skip the basics but I strongly urge any of you who are not currently taking a high quality vitamin/mineral supplement like the Bev Super Pak or Ultra 4 to do so immediately. Has anyone else out there experienced similar effects from taking or not taking a multi? "I've been to every city in Mexico. I came across an unclaimed piece of meat in Baja, turned out to be Rosie. I guessed he picked a knife fight with somebody better. Found one of your passports to Sumatra, I missed you by about a week at Fiji. But, I knew you wouldn't miss the fifty year storm, Bodhi." -Johnny Utah |

I used to get sick any time my training got serious. I started taking Super Pak a year and a half ago and haven't been sick
once.
