I'm back after my pregnancy and want to gain as much muscle as possible but wonder what supplements would be safe while I am breastfeeding AND will facilitate my lean gain phase. TIA

A prenatal and protein would be about all that's recommended at that time. You need to consult with your doctor for clear answers on this. Our products and recommendations are intended for adults that are trying to build muscle and lose fat. A newborn's needs can be quite different.

Again, this is a question for your doctor.

Thanks Steven, I actaully spoke with her about this a while ago and she said she did not know she felt the manufacture would know. Whole food is best and little to none of artificial sweetners was all she could add which makes me think that protein powders would be fine.

Yes whole food concentrating on ample amounts of protein, healthy fats, and tons of veggies, is going to be superior during this time. One thing you may also consider is supplmenting with a quality Omega 3 product, such as Bev EFA Gold or Fish oil.

Research has shown Omega 3's (Spefically DHA found in Fish oil) to povide huge benefits to brian development and cogintion of the kids during both pregency and lacation. It also has been suggested to help with post partum depression along with many other benefits. It's very common for pregnant women (really all North Americans, but we are talking about Breast Feeding so that's another topic) to be deffiecent in Omega 3 Fatty Acids, unless following an optimal nutriiton lifestyle piror to and during pregancy.

Remeber that if you do choose fish oil, like parachutes, it's not something to baragain shop for. Pay close attention to the distillation process, and make sure it's free of cancer causing hexanes. Quality Brands include: Beverly EFA Gold, Poliquin Performance, SST - Alpha Omega, Metagenics, and Designs for Health to name a few.

Thank you for the reply, that was thoughtful of you to add this supplement to my topic. I learned this too many years ago with my other pregnancies and have been supplementing since I got pregnant this last time.
